The current mission timeline in the fleet status window is not very useful because it does convey very little information about the current and future missions.

It could be replaced by a gantt-like chart that should provide more detailed data about the mission history and the relationship between tasks. This example using the 3d.js library could be a great starting point for the updated mission chart http://bl.ocks.org/dk8996/5449641

Furthermore, google charts ---the current library for the mission timeline--- should not be used as google terms do not allow to have a local copy of the javascript file. Additionally, the library is only free as gratis, but no libre .
