The Arduino IBM LoRaWAN C-library (LMIC) is a portable implementation of the LoRaWAN™ 1.0.2
end-device specification in the C programming language.

A Study of LoRa: Long Range & Low Power Networks for the Internet of Things

2019-05-13 10:41

LoRa is a long-range, low-power, low-bitrate, wireless telecommunications system,
promoted as an infrastructure solution for the Internet of Things: end-devices use LoRa across
a single wireless hop to communicate to gateway(s), connected to the Internet and which act as
...

WHAT IS LoRaWAN™?

2019-05-16 13:25

The purpose of this document is to give an introductory technical overview to LoRa® and LoRaWAN™. Low–Power, Wide-Area Networks (LPWAN) are projected to support a major portion of the billions of devices forecasted for the Internet of Things (IoT). LoRaWAN™ is designed from the bottom up to optimize LPWANs for battery lifetime, capacity, range, and cost. A summary of the LoRaWAN™ specification for the different regions will be given as well as high level comparison of the different technologies competing in the LPWAN space....

LPWAN RF Discussion July 20, 2017

2019-05-17 09:40

There has been much discussion in the Low Power, Wide Area Network (LPWAN) community about the use of other RF frequency bands for data transmission outside of the typical 868 MHz/915 MHz (LoRa Europe/North America) and 2.4 GHz (Ingenu RPMA) ISM bands. This white paper provides a brief discussion of the pros and cons of using the lower 433 MHz band for LPWAN applications and provides implications for certain use cases....
